Re: First Free Agent to change teams
I am sure a lot of you don't give a crap but the Chicago Bulls offered JJ Red=ick a 3 year deal worth 20 million dollars. Magic have until friday to match the deal.
Re: First Free Agent to change teams
He'd be insane not to take that, he won't see that much money ever. He isn't worth that much, I don't see Orlando matching.

I agree, he has already signed it now just waiting on Orlando to make a move which I don't see them doing after just adding Chris Duhon and Quentin Richardson.
Bulls also added Korver but on their website they say that they want both where Korver can play a 3 as well to have some outside shooting.
Re: First Free Agent to change teams
Looks as if the Magic have matched Chicago's offer.
GM Otis Smith says and I quote ?It came down to me (thinking about) pedigree, DNA and things that most people don?t think about, guys who are winners,? Smith explained on Friday at RDV Sportsplex. ?You want to keep as many of those guys around in your program as you possibly can. It was less about the money for me and more about keeping a guy we?ve had around our organization for the past four years.?
I would link the article but due to filter it won't allow

You don't have to win championships to be considered a winner, it's mainly in your preparation and attitude. That is what Otis is talking about. From year one to year four his play has improved drastically.

Say what? So, if you play for the New Jersey Nets you really could be a winner? What if you play for the Lakers, could you be a loser?

Was Ron Artest a winner in Sacramento? Was Gasol a winner in Memphis? How about Fisher in Utah? They were the same players they were then.

That is a matter of opinion. I for one think Artest has cleaned his act up a ton which has made him a better player. You could also make arguments that Fisher and Gasol have improved due to playing with Kobe.
